Senior Citizens sang Holi songs



Indore: When atmosphere is full of colors, and every body is enjoying Holi festival, then how can the Senior Citizens may be deprived of the opportunity of sprinkling colors on their beloved? The members of Senior Citizens’ Day Care Centres, Indore were seen full of joy and  enjoying the festival of colors at Senior citizen’s Day Care Centre, Sarva Sampanna Nagar Indore.

The members of senior citizens day care centres, viz. 148-B Mahadev Totla Nagar, Indore and 137 Sarvasampanna Nagar, Indore, assembled at the later centre, and created holi mood. All members applied Gulal on each other’s faces, and greeted each other. When everybody is in holi mood, then there are not holi songs, it is not possible. Many famous holi songs from Hindi films, like “Tan Ranglo jee aaj man Ranglo” were sung and acclaimed by all. Few Bhajans, Ghazals and famous Hindi songs were also sung. The atmosphere became more jolly, when some senior citizens cracked jokes.

Dr. Pandey, member of the centre was seen with different colors on his face. He expressed his joy as “We all the members of Senior Citizen’s Day Care Centres are very happy today. When we were thinking of celebrating Holi Milan Samaroh, at our own level, in between we were informed that being responsible has already arranged for the function, and we need not to worry about the arrangements. I am thankful to the group for organizing the colorful event.”

The program ended with enjoyment of sweets and snacks.
Being Responsible, a leading social group of Indore, besides running several social activities has started two senior citizens day care centres in Indore east area. Both the centres have received good response from senior citizens of the area where they are assembling daily for creative activities.
