Disha Wakhani impresses Saroj Khan in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah!

~The dance master will be seen judging the Gokuldham society members~

Mumbai, April 3^rd, 2012: Ace Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan has come to the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chasmah to judge the ongoing disco dance competition.

All couples in Gokuldham society i.e. Jetha- Daya, Bhide-Madhavi, Sodhi-Roshan, Haathi- Komal & Iyer-Babita are charged up to participate and win the competition. Every pair has trained hard with a professional choreographer to impress Saroj Khan. Jetha-Daya (Dilip Joshi & Disha Wakhani) will perform on Juli –Juli (Jeete Hain Shaan Se), Bhide-Madhavi will dance on the popular number, Kisi disco mein jaye (Bade Miyan Chote Miyan) and Babita –Iyer will be performing on Dhin Tinak Dhin.

Saroj Khan said that, “I am surprised that all the couples have put in lot of effort and worked really hard for their dance performances. I am not sure who will win the title, may the best dancer win.”

Saroj Khan surprised everyone by declaring a tie between Iyer-Babita and Jetha –daya. There will be a faceoff between Iyer-Babita and Jetha –daya on the song – Aaa Dekhen Zara Kismi Kitna Hai Dum for the winner of the title. But, amongst all these celebrations Daya aka Disha was able to impress the dance maestro with her spontaneous garba act on a disco dance number.

She added that, “I was very impressed when I asked everyone to perform and Disha did an impromptu garba act on a disco number. It was hilarious and entertaining too.”

The Avengers releases its official Hindi theme song- ‘Hello Andheron’

~ Agnee, the popular indie pop band, creates The Avengers theme song. Abbas Tyrewala pens the lyrics.~ 

Ahoy, fans of The Avengers! The wait is finally over! The much talked-about Hindi theme song of The Avengers ‘Hello Andhero’ - composed and performed by popular band Agnee and lyrics by noted filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Jhootha Hi Sahi) – is being officially launched today, March 26^th in a spectacular music launch at Blue Frog at 7 pm. While Agnee will take the stage and perform Hello Andhero live, the biggest attraction of the night will be the appearance of Ironman at the venue!

The Avengers produced Marvel and being distributed in India by UTV Motion Pictures, had roped in Abbas and Agnee to create a theme song for their upcoming action-adventure flick The Avengers. A music video of the song will also be launched at the music launch.

The Avengers is the most anticipated Hollywood film this year and Agnee being  a popular band in India makes it a double bonanza for the Indian comic fans. The Avengers theme song and the music video will be widely marketed and will be available across various platforms. The movie will bring together the super hero team of Marvel Comics characters for the first time ever, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, the Hulk and more, as they are forced to band together to battle the biggest foe they've ever faced.

The Avengers is set to release in India on 27th April, 2012, a week before the US release date. The film will release in 3D and 2D versions. The film has also been dubbed for Hindi, Tamil and Telugu release.

After Pinki’s bidaai all the guests and relatives leave except Angad and Urmila. Everyone in the house is aware of Pinki’s misplaced ornaments and Bittu is held responsible for the same. In such a tense situation Bittu’s another lie is disclosed when Sejal’s father, Hasmukh reveals to her that Bittu is unemployed.  Sejal’s parents take her home from her in-laws place and Bittu is also asked to leave the house by his father.  Bittu fails to prove his innocence to Sejal while his mother Rano declares that she will not eat anything till her son returns home.  Sensing trouble in the family ties, Urmila takes advantage of the situation and tries to convince Rano against her daughter-in-law Sejal.  Meanwhile Sejal files a police complaint of the missing jewellery so that she can prove Bittu’s innocence. She also searches for the jewellery at various places since she is very sure that Bittu is falsely accused.  Bittu is staying at Prakash’s place and his mother Rano carries food for him and also tries to convince him to return home. But Bittu is adamant and declares that since he is out of his own house and his wife Sejal has also left him he should even leave the city and go far away.  On the other hand Sejal feels lonely without Bittu and her in-laws.  Back home Rano’s condition worsens as Harbans finally agrees to call back Bittu. As Bittu returns back he brings a glass of water for his mother and hugs her. At that moment even Sejal who had gone back to her home returns along with the misplaced jewellery. 

But the overall situation has left a very bitter taste in the inter-personal relationship of the family. Rano for the first time assumes Sejal’s love for Bittu to be fake and starts trusting Urmila’s viewpoints. This also creates a vacuum in relation between Rano and Sejal and the situation leads to a point where comparisons are drawn between a mother’s love for her son and the wife’s love for her husband.

Will circumstances create a rift in relations between Rano and her daughter-in law Sejal forever?

Kick-start with the IIFA Voting Weekend 2012 

Mumbai: The first day of the IIFA Voting Weekend saw several members of the Indian Film Fraternity come forward to cast their vote for IIFA Awards 2012. 30^th March - 1^st April 2012 marks the 13^th year celebrations of the IIFA’s.  Amongst the many that came in were Dia Mirza, Arbaaz Khan, J. P Dutta, Ramesh Sippy, Parineeti Chopra, Vidyut Jamwal, Arjan Bajwa and the cast of Housefull 2, among others.

The cast of Housefull 2 - The Dirty Dozen showed up to vote for the 13th IIFA Awards, with Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez, Asin, Shazahn Padamsee and Zarine Khan addressing the press today. The film is the second super star packed installment in the Housefull franchise. The director, Sajid Khan voted alongside the cast. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwalla of Nadiadwallah & Grandsons. The movie is set to release on the 6th of April

The voting weekend is largely restricted to individuals who are a part of the film industry and not the public at large. This ensures that the nominations derived are credible. The turnout by the industry was phenomenal and IIFA is one of the only Awards ceremonies for which the industry turns out collectively and in full force to cast their vote.

Every year, Academy members and the Film Industry are invited to cast their votes and shortlist nominations in the category of the Popular Awards. The Technical Award winners and the Popular Award nominations are derived from the voting weekend. Year on year over 1000 industry stalwarts, actors, directors, producers, technicians and composers and others have come forward to cast their votes, which will decide nominations for the awards.

Launch Day marked the felicitation of the legendary ‘Kapoor Khandaan’

Mumbai: The Indian Film Industry has earned immense admiration and loyalty of people of not only in India but worldwide. To immortalize this legacy, the official channel of Bollywood launches the first iconic landmark in the country – ‘UTV Stars Walk of the Stars’, which will bring Bollywood fans closer to their favourite stars.

UTV STARS Walk of the Stars is a way of honoring the invaluable contribution of the biggest superstars of Indian Cinema. It is a premium property that will encompass renowned celebrities’ handprints on a customized slab and specially designed brass statues of iconic legendary actors. While customized slabs bearing the handprints will be dedicated to the living legends of Indian Cinema, customized slabs with signatures will be dedicated to the legends that have passed away.

28th March 2012 marked the launch of the property in India, Mumbai, at the Bandra Bandstand Promenade. The launch was a grand affair that witnessed the felicitation of the ‘Kapoor Khandaan’ one of the legendary families of Indian Cinema that is synonymous with and has contributed immensely to the Indian Film Industry. Prithiviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s slabs were installed on the day. And as a special honor, brass statues on a bench of the great Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor were also installed!

The property was inaugurated by none other than a true-blue Kapoor and the ‘Heroine’ of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor along with her director, Madhur Bhandarkar! The launch event therefore marked a ‘Heroine’s tribute to Bollywood and the Kapoor scion’s felicitation of her legendary family!
