Nagpur- Bausch+ Lomb has launched ‘iconnect’, India’s most affordable contact lenses ever, targeted at the youth in India. iconnect lenses, which provide excellent vision & comfort and are easy to handle, the pack is available at just Rs 500/- a pair. As a part of the launch campaign, Bausch + Lomb organized a national youth engagement activity named ‘iconnect - Model Hunt’, where young aspiring spectacle wearers got a chance to be the face of Bausch + Lomb iconnect outdoor campaign. Nargis Nandagavali from Mahila Mahavidalya got lucky to be the star face of the Bausch + Lomb iconnect model of Nagpur.
The campaign was held across 10 major colleges for all spectacle wearing youngsters of Nagpur to participate, where all the student participants were given on the spot makeovers. Their photographs were clicked with and without spectacles and were uploaded on the Bausch + Lomb Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bauschandlombindia). Nargis Nandagavali received the most “likes” on the competition facebook page and hence earned himself the title of the Bausch + Lomb model of Nagpur.
Bausch + Lomb has given Nargis an exclusive makeover by sponsoring his air tickets to Delhi for the photo shoot by a renowned and professional photographer – Raghubir Singh. His pictures will appear on the hoardings placed at key areas of Nagpur, along with prize worth Rs. 5000 from Bausch+ Lomb.
Sharing his experience and journey from a normal college student to becoming a B+L’s model of Nagpur, Nargis adds, “B+L contact lenses are so comfortable to wear and have given me great confidence to believe in myself and a freedom of vision which I never knew would be such a hurdle to my journey to this fame. With the makeover by B+L, it feels like getting a complete new me by changing my life. I’m extremely excited to be the face of Bausch + Lomb’s outdoor Ad campaign in Nagpur.”
Announcing the iconnect city model of Nagpur, Mr. Akash, Commercial Director, Bausch + Lomb said, “We would like to congratulate Nargis Nandagavali on his success of winning the title of iconnect c model hunt. Nagpur is an important youth hub of the country, and hence we feel tremendously positive after receiving such good response from the students. Our aim with the city model hunt in Nagpur was to launch iconnect range.
