Woods International students travel across 15 cities in 45 days to educate the
youth on career opportunities in the media and communication industry~
Indore, 1st December, 2011: Young, exuberant students of Whistling Woods International – School
of Communication division, are currently engrossed in shouldering a nationwide
campaign- Inspiration that was held in Indore today. Inspiration was launched
in Mumbai on 25th Nov'11 followed by the next stop at Navi Mumbai where it
received overwhelming participation from the youth. The seminar held today at
Pritamlal Dua Auditorium, Indore was a great success amongst aspiring, young
minds looking for an insight into the Media & Communication Industry.
The
seminar unleashed copious knowledge and awareness about the Media &
Communication profession through the medium of a panel discussion amongst media
stalwarts. The eminent panelists comprised of Prof. Ujjwal Chowdhury, Dean WWI School of Communication; Mr. Somnath Sen, Assistant VP,
Academics, Whistling Woods; Mr. Jaideep
Karnik, Resident Editor, Nai Dunia; Mr.
Madhukar Pawar, Press Info Bureau; Mr. Prabhu Joshi, Poet; Ms. Vibha Mishra, Aquarious Design and Mr. Rajesh Joshi, Writer. They threw light
on the ever-changing media industry and strategies to evolve quality
professionals in the field of media and Communication.
Felicitated
with the ‘Young Communication Achiever’ award were accomplished young
personas that have made it big in the field of Media & Communication. Those
felicitated were Upmita Vajpai, a
prolific journalist and RJ Charu.
Having set foot in the industry and making it big within a short span of time,
they were astounding examples for all the budding aspirants present at the event.
Prof. Ujjwal Chowdhury, Dean WWI School of
Communication, stated, “I am very proud that our MBA students have taken up
this responsibility to organize the largest communication seminar- Inspiration,
across several cities in India. This is a unique initiative undertaken by the
students who are travelling across the country to educate the youth. This will
be a great learning experience for the youth Professionals and expert speakers
in their respective fields will also share their experience and knowledge in
the field of media and communication with the youth.”
The
event later comprised of an entertaining evening consisting of various contests
- the photography contest, poster-making contest and film-making contest. The
students exhibited abundant creativity and showcased tremendous talent
throughout every contest.
The
event was efficacious and extremely lucrative. Moreover, it was an impressive
start to the nationwide series of multi city campaigns which will now move on
to other cities like Pune, Goa, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lucknow, Bangalore, Kolkata,
Nagpur, Nashik, Chennai, Jaipur and Guwahati.
All
in all, the students of WWI were excited and all set to inspire the youth of
India through their unique initiative of ‘Inspiration’.
