Mumbai:  2012 is here! It is the beginning of a New Year and New Hopes…the hope to make that ‘Big Decision’ that most of us tend to withhold. It is time to eliminate the conventional thoughts and embellish a new gem of strength, belief and passion. Yes! It is the time for a CHANGE and Channel [v] brings to you the challenge to make the Biggest ‘Decision’ that will change the course of your life. 

Channel [v], the leading youth entertainment channel, announces the launch of its newest and grandiose venture, “My Big Decision”, a show for and about the youth today. Produced by BBC Worldwide Productions India, the show, along with host Sandhya Mridul, traces the lives of 14 young contestants, whose aspirations are reliant on their decisions; the decision that will make way for a lifetime transition. These decisions are Bold and beyond the societal norms that surround us.

Unaware of the reality of their dreams, the contestants set out on a journey to discover themselves. As the head along, they are exposed to a series of events and encounters which brings them closer to reality. The contestants meet third party experts and opinion makers who either condense or strengthen their confidence, time and then. Building up to an environment of curiosity and anticipation, the contestants finally declare their decision to a spectrum of audience, who witness the entire journey from the studio.

Speaking on the announcement of the show, Prem Kamath, Executive VP and GM says, “Teenagers today are growing up faster than ever before, and they’re making adult decisions quicker than their parents would like. My Big Decision is an endeavor by Channel [v] to guide the youth today who have such larger than life decisions to make due to various influences. The show has been conceptualized on the premise that the youth is dabbling regularly with issues that nobody wishes to address. My Big Decision will appeal to our core audience and people at large as it provides a detailed insight into specific issues that the youth face with their lives and the consequences of making a decision on the same.”
