BIG BAL KALAKAAR delivers ‘Sangeet Mein Sanskar’ with a Shiv Bhakti Special on BIG MAGIC this weekend

BIG BAL KALAKAAR delivers ‘Sangeet Mein Sanskar’ with a Shiv Bhakti Special on BIG MAGIC this weekend

Lucknow: Keeping in mind the philosophy of the show – A movement to reconnect audiences in Central India back to their root, BIG BAL KALAKAAR – India’s first devotional singing reality show for children, on BIG MAGIC continues this in its upcoming episodes this weekend.
BIG Bal Kalakaar this Saturday & Sunday - February 25th & 26th at 7.00 pm on BIG MAGIC, will be devoted to Shivbhakti & songs devoted to Shivji, keeping in mind the recent Maha Shivratri festivities.
Maha Shivratri has great significance across the country but is especially important to people in the Hindi Heartland. The festival is celebrated with great devotion and fervor in the region.
It is believed that Maha Shivratri is the favorite day of Lord Shiva. It seems Parvati asked Lord Shiva which devotees and rituals pleased him the most. The Lord replied that the 13th night of the new moon, during the month of Maagha, is his most favorite day. Parvati repeated these words to her friends, from whom the word spread over all the creation.
In sync with the auspicious festival the episode opens with the judges Rajan-Sajan Mishra & Jatin Pandit rendering the Saraswati Vandana. Soon the participants join singing traditional compositions based on Shivbhakti. In fact some of the compositions were difficult, but this makes BIG Bal Kalakaar unique from other reality singing shows. With these traditional compositions the show is reinforcing the importance of Sanskaar among children.
These episodes also feature some interesting and educative interaction between the anchor and the participants on why they call Mahadev as Bhola Bhandari. The answers were innocent and amusing like “wo bahut bhole hai aur koi rakshas bhi tapsya karta hai aur unako pata hai ki wo galat fir bhi usako aasirwaad de dete hai isliye wo bahut bhole hai…”
Apart from some interesting stories on Shivji and his krodh, by the anchor, BAL Naraad also shares his amusing stories with the viewers. The episode has some brilliant performances from the participants. Some lighter moments between participants enlivened the episode.

Stay tuned to BIG Bal Kalakaar every Friday & Saturday at 7.00 pm only on BIG Magic

Bollywood biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to be filmed in Melbourne

Bollywood biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag to be filmed in Melbourne
A new Bollywood film about one of India’s greatest sporting heroes will shoot key scenes in Melbourne, the Premier of Victoria and Minister for the Arts Ted Baillieu announced today.
The film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Run Milkha Run) will tell the story of the legendary Indian runner Milkha Singh, known as the ‘Flying Sikh’, who won 77 of the international footraces out of the 80 that he entered.
Milkha Singh first represented India at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics which introduced him to the world stage and launched his international running career.
“India is one of the busiest film production destinations in the world, and its burgeoning film industry offers vast opportunities for Victorian co-production projects, building on our strengths in the creative arts,” Mr Baillieu said.
“Victoria is gaining recognition as a leading film production destination with world-class studio facilities at our disposal, such as the Docklands Film and Television Studios.”
Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will be directed by one of India’s most celebrated filmmakers, Rakeysh Mehra, and produced by ROMP and Viacom 18 India. It will feature two of India’s biggest film stars - the multi-talented Farhaan Akhtar and style icon Sonam Kapoor.
Mr Baillieu said the length of the shoot in Melbourne was anticipated to be between two and three weeks, which will generate more than $1 million in local economic activity.
“Like other Indian films shot in Melbourne, such as Salaam Namaste and Chak de! India, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag will also raise our profile in India and showcase Victoria as a great tourism destination.
“Tourism Victoria will leverage the release of the movie through a marketing campaign in India featuring the key locations from the film,” Mr Baillieu said.
Mr Baillieu said Film Victoria worked closely with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’s producers to secure filming in Victoria, providing significant location and production services.
“Film Victoria will continue to support this production, providing film and location services during its Melbourne shoot.”
Mr Baillieu said that as part of the Victorian Government’s Trade Engagement Program - India, screen industry ties were being strengthened between Victoria and India.
“We have committed $500,000 to deliver an Indian Film Festival in Melbourne in 2012, 2013 and 2014, are establishing fellowships for young Victorian directors and producers to travel to India and will appoint a well-known Indian Film Ambassador.
“We have signed a Victoria-India Co-production initiative which will see 10 Victorians travel to India’s leading media and entertainment industry convention, FICCI Frames, in Mumbai and support up to three Victorian screen companies in joint ventures with Indian production entities,” Mr Baillieu said.
“Our Government seeks to promote Victoria as a place that has the skills and infrastructure to work in film production and where film producers can find a variety of people who can speak a range of languages and possess cultural understanding.”
The Premier said that Milkha Singh’s story is an inspirational one, and its strong ties to Melbourne are an excellent opportunity to expand Victoria’s relationship with India in the realm of the arts.
Victoria’s major events calendar is the most prestigious and successful major events calendar in the world, having been named the “Best Sports City” at the Sport Business Sports Event Management Awards in 2009.
Mr Baillieu made the announcement in Delhi, in the presence of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag's Director Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra, Vikram Malhotra, COO - Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Mitu Bhowmick, Director - Mind Blowing Films, the Victorian line producer. The Premier is in India leading Victoria’s Super Trade Mission, the largest ever trade mission to leave Australia, involving over 200 leading Victorian organisations.

JHILMIL SITAARON KA AANGAN HOGA…

JHILMIL SITAARON KA AANGAN HOGA…
Boy Meets Girl…
They fall in love and decide to get married…
Parents consent… the marriage gets solemnized…
But when the Bidaai happens…

After entertaining the audiences with their popular family drama Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Rajshri Productions is back on Sahara One with yet another show, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga. The trademark Rajshri style and flavor in their depiction of love stories continues with a twist in the tale.
The story revolves around Aakash who marries Angana, and enters the Raichand family as a Ghar Jamai. Aakash will be played by Pankaj Tiwari, whereas Shreya Jha will portray Angana. Starting Monday, 27th February, Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga will be aired every Monday to Friday at 9 p.m on Sahara One.
JHILMIL SITAARON KA AANGAN HOGA…
Lead Cast
·         Kalyanidevi – Sudha Chandran
·         Raghuveer  Raichand – Jeetendra Trehaan
·         Aakash – Pankaj Tiwari
·         Angana – Shreya Jha

Angana Raichand comes from an extremely rich and renowned family in Indore. But as they say, every wealthy family has its other side; in this case, it’s the tradition of Ghar-Jamai that has been running strong through the generations. Angana’s father Raghuveer Raichand came in as a Ghar-Jamai with her mother Kalyani Devi, and so did her two elder jijajis. Thereby the concept of ‘Bidaai’ of a girl is alien to Angana. Such is the picture painted by her stern and autocratic mother, Kalyani Devi before her daughters that Angana never felt the need to break out of her comfort-zone. She innocently believes that the ‘Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan’ she dreams of would be none other than her own house until Aakash comes in to her life. Aakash a simple righteous man to whom self-respect and principles mean more than anything else in the world. While Angana, the rich, pampered and youngest daughter of Raichand family, expects all her joys to come to her doorstep.
Says Shri Boney Kapoor - Director, Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd,“The viewers of Sahara One will certainly be delighted to enjoy the beautiful offering from Rajshri Productions,’ Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga’.”
[[
‘Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ is a unique love story of Aakash and Angana who are raised in completely diverse backgrounds. Angana falls in love with an ordinary guy, Aakash, who, owing to his trusting and virtuous ways, gets tricked into becoming a Ghar-Jamaai in the Raichand household.
Shri Suresh Mishra, Asst Director Worker -Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd adds, “Working with everyone at Rajshri Productions including Soorajji and Kavitaji has always been a pleasure. Kavita Barjatyaji was the force behind our earlier flagship show ‘Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki’ that garnered huge popularity and helped us scale bigger heights. We are confident that Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga will do even better and entertain the viewers well.
A visibly excited Shri Sooraj Barjatya, Rajshri Productions asserts,“It was 2004 when Saharasri asked us to be a part of the Sahara Pariwar…. It resulted in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki… We owe it to him and the entire Sahara team to have had this great faith in the Rajshri values and for having given us the opportunity to make shows that we believe in… It is a very proud and emotional moment for us at Rajshri as we once again bring this show Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga on Sahara One… I am sure it will connect all families like how our films connect…
Says Kavita Barjatya, Rajshri Productions,”I forayed into the small screen in 2005 with Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki on Sahara One. Working with Sahara One is like working with family. The confidence they portray in me is impeccable and that is what makes working with them comfortable. This is my second stint with the channel. Jhilmil Sitaaron ka Aangan Hoga is a beautiful love story of Aakash and Angana, two ordinary individuals who have been raised in families with diverse backgrounds. They get married and then certain truths come to the surface that leaves their relationship in turbulent waters. The show is about their journey and how they change themselves for love. In Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Angan Hoga, we have also tried to add a new flavour to this family… where the head of the family is Mrs Raichand, who believes in getting Ghar Jamaai’s for her daughters. In our country, ‘damaads’ are given so much importance… so we thought let us try and bring in this angle to make a fresher family subject. We will try and give out a social message in an entertaining manner by using this angle too.”
‘Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ is a story of the dreams of every girl and boy. The ‘aangan’ that a girl visualizes is usually that of some other household, where she goes, after taking the blessings of her parents during her ‘Bidaai’, to set up a home, to nurture a family with love and to dream a common dream with her life-partner. This is our Indian tradition, practiced and revered by almost all of us. On the other hand, a boy visualizes his wife coming to his house to make it a home… to fill it with love, to nurture it with care…But what if there is a family in which the river flows uphill? Where a girl’s bidaai doesn’t happen after marriage but instead, the boy comes in as a Ghar-Jamaai.
