 Pune. The new BMW X3 was launched in two diesel variants: BMW X3 xDrive20d and BMW X3 xDrive30d. The new BMW X3 will be CKD produced (Completely Knocked Down) at the BMW Plant Chennai.
The new BMW X3 can now be ordered at BMW dealerships across the country.  The deliveries of the new BMW X3 xDrive20d will start in September and of the new BMW X3 xDrive30d in October.
Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India said, “The first-generation BMW X3 was the pioneer in its segment. We are confident that the second generation BMW X3 will inherit the position of its predecessor as the benchmark and will strengthen it further. Powered by a 75bhp m2DiCR engine, the Scorpio Ex offers great drivability and refined performance along with an impressive 14kmpl mileage (as per ARAI).  This new offering is attractively priced at Rs.7.57 lakhs (ex-showroom Lucknow, for BSIV).

The new 2.5 litre m2DiCR engine with 75bhp power and 220NM torque, is a product of efficient engineering.  It is equipped with the fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology, which allows it to intelligently switch the engine into the standby mode, when not required – ensuring lower fuel consumption while being more environment-friendly too. Compliant with stringent BSIV emission norms, the Scorpio Ex emits lower emissions leading to a reduced carbon footprint.

Additional features include crash protection crumple zones, to protect passengers in the unfortunate event of a collision and the digital immobilizer which protects the vehicle from theft. Delhi: Brig Khutub Hai, MD & CEO, Defence Land Systems India (DLSI), , today handed over the keys of the Company’s first Mine Protected Vehicle  India (MPV-I) to Mr. B B Pradhan, Additional Director General of Police, Jharkhand Police, commencing  fulfillment of the State’s order of six MPVIs.  DLSI is a joint venture enterprise between Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (74%) and global defence and security company BAE Systems PLC (26%).

Speaking on the occasion, Brig Hai said, “This is a proud moment for DLSI as this is the first such vehicle of its kind indigenously manufactured by the private sector industry being delivered to the Police Forces in the country. I assure the ADGP, Jharkhand Police that the MPV-I will meet all the stated parameters and we hope it will greatly enhance the operational effectiveness of the Police forces in Naxal affected areas of the country.”

In order to ensure smooth induction of these vehicles, into the force, DLSI is also training a fleet of drivers and mechanics of the Jharkhand Police force to ensure optimum use of the vehicle. Moreover, DLSI will also provide complete life cycle support to the Police for these vehicles.

Built with technology and product capability transfer from BAE Systems in South Africa world leader in this technology, the MPV-I, Brig. Hai said, “The vehicle combines excellent Ballistic and Blast Protection capabilities. Built on Ural Chassis it incorporates a 'V' shaped mono hull chassis which directs the force of the blast away from the occupants, has been tested to withstand the highest level of protection available in the country. In addition to the enhanced protection, the 6x6 vehicle has a powerful engine that ensures high mobility and can carry an entire operational team making it ideally suited for anti-terrorist and anti-Naxal operations. Brig Hai also informed that DLSI has commenced serial production of its Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV-I) at its state of the art factory at Prithla, near Faridabad which has a present installed capacity of 100 MPV-I per annum.

During Janmashtami, the entire city gets immersed in the spirit of devotion. Euphoric celebrations among the devotees are a common sight. Naturally, the contestants got caught up in this emotional fervor at this historic town where they not only presented the first copy of the second music video of the show featuring Hrithik Roshan in a brand new Avatar but also managed to seek blessings for their success on the Just Dance battleground!

Sameer who has previously worked with Rajshri in their show "Main Teri Parchhain Hoon"will be seen portraying the character of Raj Singhaniya in their latest show Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli . “Good things always come together. That is somewhat the case with Rajshri and me. It’s always a pleasure to work with them as they are one of the best in the industry. Also they are very sure of when to introduce a character. And when they approached me for Raj’s character it was apt timing.” Sameer tells us that Raj’s character is that of a protective brother, who can get anything under the sun, if his sister demands for it. He adds, “Raj also has some steak of grey. I haven’t done a grey character before on T.V. Thus making it a hard hitting and a solid role.” There is a noticeable change in his look to support the character, we ask him if he specially worked on it, Sameer says, “I lately wore my hair short, and when I was approached for the role, the look i was carrying fitted the character and was approved by the creative team immediately.” Soniya Singh plays the role of his sister Koyal. The brother sister duo entered the show to save Swarna Bhawan but with ulterior motives. It would be interesting to watch how Karan and Abha save their family this time. Bharat Bhushan is an idealist, but he is torn between balancing the conflicting pulls & pressures of his large family. The serial revolves around his family members – who have “seedha naam” but always end up doing “teedha kaam” – which leads to hilarious situations. Each episode has a message to convey and herein lays the beauty of the serial. Veteran actor Sudhir Pandey plays the protagonist Bharat Bhushan, with Bhawana Balsawar, Upasana Singh, Tushar Dalvi, Dharmesh Vyas and others, making it a serial that will warm your hearts. Packed with drama, emotions, laughter and action, this heartwarming comedy is sure to make people laugh and cry at the same time.
