“Casting is of great importance to a show!”
says Kavita Barjatya
Kavita Barjatya, whose
new show “Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga” has gone on air on Sahara one lately
shares her experience of casting for the show. She says, “Casting is of great
importance to a show! The characters have to be believable, so that the viewers
can relate to them.” Kavita also points out that it is also important for the
success of the show. To match the freshness of the show, she cast Shriya Jha
for the role of Angana, she says, “Shriya jha is daughter of veteran actress
Amardeep Jha. Shriyas pictures came to us through someone. I loved her
instantly. We got a meeting scheduled with her and within five minutes I was
like “You are my Angana!” Cute, chirpy, bubbly, innocent and with a spunk! She
has done movies down south and was hesitant to start a career in Television.
Shriya was a little apprehensive in the start until I instilled the confidence,
that she could do it.”
Pankaj Tiwari
who is the male lead for the show was someone Kavita had noticed a long while
ago, she says, “Pankaj tiwari has been on my mind since a long time. I was
trying to cast him earlier but that did not materialize. So finally we got him
for the show. When he came to meet me, he came across as a wonderful and a
simple person at heart. This attribute was apt for the role, because that’s
what Akash is in the show, an upright person.” Other characters also have
appeared in other Rajshri shows. As Rajshri had a working relationship it was
easy to cast them again. She adds, “I have a habit of repeating. I have casted
actors who have done substantial and good work with Rajshri, as we share a
great working relationship.” Rakesh Paul, Sonica Handa, Sukhwinder Cheh and
Parveen Hingonia for them it’s a comeback to Rajshri Productions. Watch all
these actors weave a beautiful story in “Jhilmil Sitaron Ka Aangan Hoga” at
9pm only on Sahara One.
