IIMK to impart leadership program for the Kerala Government

Bangalore: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) will be imparting smart governance workshops for the newly sworn in ministers of the Government of Kerala, as announced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Oommen Chandy. The objective is to achieve increased productivity and efficiency by sharpening the governance skills, goal based planning and result oriented working strategies of the ministers and their respective departments. The workshop focus will be on effective leadership, good governance and instant delivery mechanism ensuring the timely reach of the Government’s Programmes and benefits to the target audience. 

Given its niche positioning, IIMK has again proved to be a thought leader by sustaining its diversity of student profiles. The academic batch of year 2011-2013 will include 33% women as compared to 30% of last year. IIMK has been the trendsetter for business schools in the country with its consistent gender diversity drive, which is now emulated by others. The fact that there is significant representation from the lower income groups in the socio-economic profile of the parents of the incoming students speaks for the social diversity the Institute is able to achieve.    

On this occasion, Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIMK has expressed that he is grateful to be invited by the Government of Kerala to deliver this leadership program.
