July, 2011: Gojiyo, India’s first online virtual reality world organized ‘The Tomatino’ festival for a few lucky Gojiyoites with the star cast of the much awaited movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The contest winners enjoyed this meet and greet session with Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin & Zoya Akhtar. The grand event was held at the Westin, Gurgaon which successfully brought the very popular Spanish tradition to the city.

Gojiyo was lauded for taking this initiative and creating memorable moments for everyone present at the event. The Gojiyo team left no stone unturned for creating a similar out-of-the-world experience for its patrons in the real world. In the real world, the successful Gojiyo ‘avatars’ found themselves competing with none other than Hrithik, Katrina, Farhan, Abhay & Kalki. A large kiosk was set up to bring in the experience of the fun Tomatino festival. Each participant was required to aim the tomato through the ‘O’ of Gojiyo. The participant who was successful in doing so was declared the winner. While wrestling with the stars was not a mean task, our virtual heroes emerged as winners and took home exciting gifts and wonderful memories. Making the morning more beautiful and fun-filled, Gojiyo contest winners danced and sang songs with the entire star cast of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. There was also a quick rapid fire question round between the winners & the stars.

Sharing his experience, Hrithik Roshan said “The Tomatino event was unique and very well planned. The themed game was brilliant which allowed Gojiyoites emerging out as great sport players. I must say that this event certainly made me nostalgic and relive the Spanish moments during the making of the movie. I had a wonderful time with the Gojiyoites.”

Enthralled and excited, Katrina Kaif said “I was very happy to be a part of this event. The enthusiasm displayed by the Gojiyo contest winners was commendable. The idea of making the contestants play the ‘Tomatino’ was very interesting. The participants’ precise aim and game spirit left me amazed. Thank you Gojiyo for a very fun –filled morning.”    

The corridors of the Westin hotel resonated with the cheers and applaud of the participants. Sparsh Goyal, contest winner from Indore said, “On learning that I would get the opportunity of playing Tomatino with the star cast of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, I was ecstatic. Gojiyo can be credited for fulfilling my dreams. Hrithik and Katrina are great sport players. They were all very friendly and welcoming. I will always cherish this Spanish experience all my life.”       

This elegant yet adventurous afternoon was full of exuberance and excitement. The Tomatino festival with the Indian flavor was surely a very successful and fun-filled event.
